Laurent Fraticelli, originally from Corsica, France, brings more than 30 years of international management and leadership experience.

Laurent studied at Switzerland’s renowned Lausanne School of Hospitality Management, holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management and completed Cornell’s Professional Development Program in Human Resources and Finance.

He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

In 1993, Laurent Fraticelli began his career in New York at the prestigious Hotel Plaza Athénée and by 1995 he was in charge of their Food & Beverage Operation.

He then worked at New York’s legendary St. Regis Hotel and a year later was recruited to launch the first W Hotel in New York as the Director of Food & Beverage, where he remained with the brand until 2001, while also participating as task force for the openings of W Seattle, W New Orleans, W the Court and W the Tuscany.

Laurent spent the next five years with André Balazs’ The Standard Hotels, as General Manager at The Standard Hollywood, The Standard Downtown Los Angeles, and The Standard Miami, where he was part of the pre-opening team.

In 2006, he became Vice President of Palisades Development Group in Los Angeles, where he oversaw the expansion and launch of Custom Hotel & Palihouse.
